Letterpress cards aren't new to Apple; they've been available in iPhoto since 2010. But, with Cards, the soon-to-be-released iPhone app, you'll be able to create and send 4-by-6 inch letters from the comfort of your iPhone or iPod touch. Cards—including the inside, outside, and envelope—can be customized with text, photos, and GPS data, as well as one of 21 custom templates. Assuming your contacts are in order, select a recipient (or multiple recipients) and click send to get your bits converted to pulp form. Once the card is delivered (within the US), you'll receive a confirmation notification of post office arrival from the Cards app. Apple's charging $2.99 in the US ($4.99 internationally) for each Card sent. It's the perfect tool for a perfectly delayed and tactile humblebrag.
