Last year, James Cameron pushed back the release date of his Avatar sequel to the end of 2017 — one year later than its original planned release. Now it looks like that’s not going to happen either. According to a new report from The Wrap, Twentieth Century Fox has scrapped its December 2017 plan. The studio has never officially announced a release date for the movie, but Cameron suggested last year that it would be finished by the end of 2017. There’s no word yet on when the actual release date will be, or what’s going on with the other two of Avatar’s three planned sequels.
Avatar 2 will not come out in 2017 after all
