Bert Nordberg, the former President and CEO of Sony Ericsson, has today joined BlackBerry’s board of directors, alongside former Verizon Executive Vice President Richard Lynch. The new pair won’t be performing any executive functions themselves, but will aim to serve BlackBerry’s future prosperity with their industry knowledge. That’s the explanation given by BlackBerry Board Chair Barbara Stymiest, who explains the newly-renamed mobile company is “very pleased” to have them on board.
