Chrome for Android has been updated to support Intel’s x86 processors - specifically, the Motorola RAZR i. Motorola handed out pre-release units of the handset at its recent event, promising that updates for the phone would be pushed out before the official launch at the start of October. The Chrome update ensures that RAZR i customers will be able to use Google’s official browser when the handset does launch in the coming weeks. Devices running Gingerbread, such as the Orange San Diego, will still be unable to run Chrome, as the browser requires Ice Cream Sandwich. The update also brings security and stability improvements in addition to YouTube video controls that are now accessible in fullscreen mode. The updated Chrome for Android is available on the Play Store now.
