Popular app launcher and all-around tool Alfred for Mac has been updated to version 1.3. The big feature for regular users is the ability to perform a QuickLook action on any file by hitting Cmd-Y. Power users might be interested in something Alfred is calling “Multi-file Buffer,” which allows you to stack up multiple files in a single Alfred search and then perform an action on all of them.

There’s also a new, smaller “compact view,” which the company says is good for Retina Display Macbook Pros along with the standard bugfixes and a slew of other smaller, bullet point features. It’s not yet available in the Mac App Store, but you can install it directly from alfredapp.com — it’s a free app but there is a Powerpack option for £15 that adds some advanced features.
