We’ve been hearing about the ISIS payment network since last summer, and while we knew that the service was launching sometime in early 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Austin, Texas, we didn’t know which banks were going to be on board. Well, the NFC-powered digital wallet service has just announced that Chase, Capital One, and Barclaycard will be the launch partners, and will offer credit, debit, and prepaid cards for use with the system beginning sometime this summer.

ISIS was founded by AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, and is partnered with all four major credit card companies: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. In comparison, Google Wallet’s only official wireless partner is Sprint, and for now it only has access to the MasterCard payment network in the US. Be that as it may, Google Wallet is already up and running, and has users and merchants across the country, albeit in limited numbers.
